Texas State University campus event:

12:00 noon	President Luncheon - Award conferred by Texas State University-San Marcos President Trauth.
2:30 PM	Author/Illustrator Presentation at the LBJ Student Center Ballroom of Texas State University-San Marcos with book sales and signing for the public (university pre-service teachers, literature and art students, etc.). Mariachis are scheduled and lemonade and cookies served.

Friday, October 31, 2008 -

Reading Rock Stars of the Texas Book Festival

School visit and presentation.

Saturday November 1, 2008 -

Texas Book Festival in Austin, Texas

10:00 AM	Announcement of the Rivera Award winner will take place during the Opening Session of the Book Festival at the Texas State Capitol in Austin, Texas.
TBA	Annual designated Rivera Award Session in the Reading Tents of the Texas Book Festival in Austin, Texas.
